And hey, there's nearly 500m people in the EU-27 ... compared to 300m in the US. But who is counting?

Administrivia: this year's always-fun New Years Day archive cleanup went much faster with the latest hardware upgrade, with almost no downtime. Last year wasn't a record year, but fairly steady with about 25k postings ... ~65/day!
