oh i get it -- it's the other b (bb -bitch) by the way. i use this at work. i get it way more than i want. day in and day out, now, i get a taste of what people really think. already had an inkling from this list, but it's been a trip in this job.

i would say that it is a form of distinction -- a way for people to distinguish themselves from one another that is possibly only emerging recently. in the past, when moms were going to college in their forties, it was because it was no unusual for a mom not to go to college because most women didn't. e.g. -- my mom. but now, when 50% of the population goes to college, there needs to be another marker of shame, to distinguish one group from another. in this case, i'd guess that it's not yalies who wear the shirt but maybe kids who go to state colleges, etc.

what is your experience?
