Adolph Reed finally settled the matter for me: if people want to vote for Dems, and even agitate for them, fine; if they don't, that's fine too. I'm not going to get excited either way. I think most political agitation these days should be, as the old jargon goes, extraparliamentary. Election campaigns are kind of fun, like sporting events for political junkies, but they rarely change the world.
