The frustration for me comes not in expecting the Dems to sweep in a socialist revolution but in seeing the least palliative of them elected. Structurally Dems suck but there are degrees to it and they've too often chosen the path of maximum sucktion. Hillary and Obama are odious while Edwards merely sucks. It's at the very least disappointing to see the odious win over those who merely suck. Since the difference between odious and sucky can mean a great deal to those at the bottom tiers of our society (and increasingly those further up the scale) it becomes more than just disappointing but a matter of life or death to many. If you're in a position to label it merely disappointing (as I am) then you're privileged. It makes sense to get upset at them when you consider this.
