[WS:] Does that surprise you? NPR is one of the most insidious propaganda tools for the capital ever invented. One of its main shticks is to inclulcate the audience with the concept of the capitalist market as a "natural" and "benevolent" institution. For example, most of their foreign coverage centers arounds that theme by providing examples how people round the world "embrace" profit making and capitalist "entrepreneurship." They are worse than, say, Fox in that respect because they maintain an aura of objectivity and light-hearted approach to life (pieces about culture, doing good deeds, cute stories about environment and animals, etc.) They deliberately stay away from the nastiness a al GOP and Fox and project avuncular images of capitalist bosses and capitalism with a "human face."

They bend backwards to cajole their coprorate sponsors and praise the capitalist markets (cf. 'The marketplace') but there are yet to have a single program devoted to labor, especialy organized labor.
