UNITED NATIONS, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- The U.N. Security Council condemned on Tuesday in the strongest terms the latest suicide attack in Kabul.
In a statement read out by Ambassador Giadalla Ettalhi of Libya, which holds the rotating Council presidency for January, the council members reiterated their concern at the increasing threat to the local population, national security forces, international military and international assistance efforts posed by the Taliban, who claimed responsibility for the attack, Al-Qaida, illegal armed groups, criminals and those involved in the narcotics trade.
