If Cruise said this same stuff but claimed it was xtian inspiration that drove him would it still be just as scary to people? While I think Scientology is nuttery why is less nutty to imagine xtian mythology is true? Why is Zeno so much funnier/scarier than god? I've been accused of making these types of statement just to appear transgressive or to inflame religious types but I don't. I truly see no difference between this religion and any other. I also can't imagine how anyone could look at this religion with an open mind, free from the programming of childhood, and feel any differently. Scientology is a bit scary in their propensity to sue anyone they feel is disparaging them. I think they use this threat more than most religions don't they? Using the courts to stifle criticism is scary.
