[What other politician would say something like this? This is  
McCain's reaction to his advisor Phil Gramm's idiotic remark that the  
U.S. is suffering a "mental recession," and we're at risk of turning  
into "a nation of whiners," quoted in today's NYT. Asked if Gramm  
would be in the running for Treasury Secretary...]

“I think Senator Gramm would be in serious consideration for  
ambassador to Belarus,” he said, “although I’m not sure the citizens  
of Minsk would welcome that.”
