NEW YORK, July 9 (Reuters) - U.S. companies had their worst showing in 10 years on Fortune magazine's annual Global 500 ranking, while foreign energy and natural resource producers, bolstered by surging commodity prices, jumped up the chart.
The U.S boasted only 153 of the world's largest 500 companies, down from 162 last year, in its worst performance in more than a decade. The rankings are based on 2007 audited revenues. http://www.reuters.com/article/companyNewsAndPR/idUSN0829941720080709
