In the remaining case, the cops have a "person of interest" who is a student at the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center. Surprise!

It is well documented that military personnel commit plenty of violent crimes -- especially violence against women (e.g. Tailhook, etc.) What I haven't found, though, are any empirical studies identifying a significant correlation between offenders' military service and violent crime. Anyone know of any? The anecdotal evidence certainly suggests that military personnel and former military personnel commit violent crimes at a higher rate than those with employment histories that don't involve killing people.
