^^^^ CB: Far as I can tell, this article presents pretty much no evidence that this was a Chinese intelligence operation. How about " Big time Brit gets hustled by bar maid."
They manage to make this "aide" sound so innocent, and , of course a "victim". Somehow when you read the article, you don't get the idea that he's a John.
How about this wording :
"had his BlackBerry phone stolen after being picked up by a Chinese woman who had approached him in a Shanghai hotel disco.
"The aide agreed to return to his hotel with the woman."
Yea, _she_ picked him up. _She_ got him to agree to return to his hotel room. This guy sure is weak willed to be an aid to the Prime Minister.
Oh, and no mention of what they did when they went back to his hotel room. Only thing that happened was that she stole his Blackberry ? uhuh
Like she proposed it , and he didn't ( smile). She approached him and proposed that they go back to his hotel room, and he couldn't resist (!!!) He's just an innocent little babe in the woods taken advantage of by the wily Chinese intelligent agent. Yea right.
So, this fellow was just walking around in China with British state secrets on his phone.
"The incident highlights the growing threat of Chinese intelligence to Britain and the West."
Give me a break. The incident shows nothing is new since the Profumo scandal.
