Everyone from the A-listed 'Brangelina' to the soon-to-be-forgotten stars of "The Hills" (and assorted political celebrities thrown in the mix) respect and fear the Enquirer's reach.
Mike Walker, the "Hemingway of Gossip" (H. Stern), the NE's most well known columnist has extensive and accurate files on a lot of people who know not to fuck with him.
If the NE says Edwards was caught, the boy was caught.
