So the prince of darkness, Bob Novak, hit a pedestrian in DC while  
driving his black Corvette. Today's Note recalls an observation from  
Novak in 2001:

"Since I don't run the country, all I can do is yell at 'em. The other  
option is to run 'em over, but as a compassionate conservative, I  
would never do that." --Robert Novak, raging at jaywalkers, in 2001.
