That's their prefered attitude. The "jungle world" from time to time published articles by Michael Heinrich. They like to contrast the differences of their espescially smart way of thinking to the unionist/traditional/orthodox/average positions of the "all the leftist". (Remember Heinrichs objections to "labour movement marxism".)

The journal is best, if the rest of german left is quite stupid. (So they have their chances to be quite good.) If the rest is not so stupid, they anyhow prefer to contradict.

When the project started in spring 1997 with an revolt in the daily newspaper "junge welt" friends of mine, unionist, communists (Brandlerists), came in and the frist question to them was: "You are coming from the union, this reformistic, bureaucratic monster? Good, very good. We are on strike: Tell us, what to do!"

Quite a lot of things in the "jungle world" changed in meantime, persons, ideas. The distinguished outsider-perspective on the rank and file conflicts remained.
