That is asking an awful lot actually. You might as well argue that no-one who hasn't submitted themselves to be tortured by water-boarding is entitled to comment on the issue of torture or water-boarding.
Reading that text by Butler is, quite simply, torture. Excruciating, agonising, torture. No-one can possibly read it right through. To demand that someone put themselves through such an ordeal in inhuman.
