My impression of the New Atheism is that it is resurrected Old Atheism, embodying a quaint 19th-century idea of SCIENCE! and PROGRESS! and using arguments that were old when Bertrand Russell was making them. Wasn't this all done much better by Voltaire 300 years ago?
