If by "helper systems" you mean the countries of "really existing socialism," all of them actually had high levels of social mobility. The motto of the Stalin era was "my father was a peasant; I am a worker; my son will be an engineer." For instance, Gorbachev's parents were peasants; I think Yeltsin's were too.
