i pasted two samples from judith butler's second preface to gender trouble, which is written in a formal, but not exceedingly formal, style.

   

  results for the second sample read as follows: Genre: Formal

  Female = 720

  Male   = 743

  Difference = 23; 50.78%

  Verdict: Weak MALE

  Weak emphasis could indicate European.
