UPDATED: Sir Elton John To Perform at Clinton Fundraiser on April 9th
Legendary artist Sir Elton John will perform at a solo concert on behalf of Hillary Clinton's campaign on April 9, 2008 at Radio City Music Hall in New York. The event, called "Elton and Hillary: One Night Only," is Elton John's first public solo concert in New York City without his band since his solo concert at Madison Square Garden in October 2000.
"I'm not a politician but I believe in the work that Hillary Clinton does," said John. "I'm excited to support Hillary by performing at what will be a truly memorable night."

He has sold more than 250 million albums and over one hundred million singles, making him one of the most successful artists of all time. He has won five Grammy awards and one Academy Award. John was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994. He is a worldwide activist and humanitarian for a variety of issues including HIV/AIDS, breast cancer and human rights to name a few. In 1992, John founded the Elton John AIDS Foundation and was knighted in 1998.
