That doesn't follow. She's a known quantity, and people have this brainbug about "electability", and then there are all those elderly female-nationalists who think feminism means letting a woman administer the murderous business of empire.
We all have fragmentary and biased sources of information, of course, but I'm getting the very strong sense, both from what I'm reading and from what I'm hearing from actual people, that Obama-ites do feel more hopeful and enthusiastic about him than Hillary-ites do about her. For many of the latter, in fact, she's admittedly a pis-aller.
The dead giveaway, I'd say, is the Kennedy comparison. As soon as that contemptible lout gets mentioned, it's a sure sign that bobby-soxerism has taken over.
