>> As such, Reverend Wright's comments were not only wrong but divisive,
>> divisive at a time when we need unity; racially charged at a time when we
>> need to come together to solve a set of monumental problems - two wars,

And therein lies the doom of Empire. The problem is that the only real kind of unity the Empire has ever had is that of imperial whiteness -- the unity of conquest, rapine, pillage and plunder. It is a toxic unity, which, like Tolkien's Ring-of-British-Empire, totally corrupts whosoever tries to wield it. But now the Empire is literally ripping its own financial intestines (the liver was discreetly sold to Chinese sovereign wealth funds) out in front of our astonished eyes. To be sure, Obama is a savvy enough politician to know this:

>> This time we want to talk about the shuttered mills that once provided
>> a decent life for men and women of every race, and the homes for sale
>> that once belonged to Americans from every religion, every region, every
>> walk of life. This time we want to talk about the fact that the real
>> problem is not that someone who doesn't look like you might take your
>> job; it's that the corporation you work for will ship it overseas for
>> nothing more than a profit.

That paragraph is as radical as the Obama campaign -- or potential Presidency -- will ever get, I'm afraid. Diagnoses, but no solutions, because the rentier paymasters of the Dems will allow no such thing.

But there's no reason to be gloomy, because the post-American era is finally upon us. One, two, many Bearzillas! Onwards to open source communism and sovereign wealth fund socialism!
