Foreign Policy is once again engaging in its ersatz task of
designating the world's top 20 intellectuals (out of 100 they've
nominated). They made the mistake of putting Chomsky on the list
again, so there's some potential for embarrassing them by rushing
over to vote and putting Noam at the top of the heap again:

The Noamster isn't the only person worth voting for on the list.
Other interesting candidates include:
Alex de Waal
Ramachandra Guha
Daniel Barenboim
Mahmood Mamdani
Slavoj Zizek
And then there are the candidates you wish you could vote against -
Bernard Lewis, Christopher Hitchens, Mario Vargas Llosa, etc.
