North Korea has welcomed emergency food aid from the US, saying it would help relieve shortages and improve relations between the two countries.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the official Korean Central News Agency said: "The DPRK [North Korea] is ready to provide all technical conditions necessary for the food delivery.
