Although it mentions that Obama vows to maintain the "embargo,"
Granma's note chose to strongly emphasize the *positives* in Obama's
speech before the counter-revolutionary Cuban-American National
Foundation -- namely the promises that he'll (1) depart "radically"
from Bush's policy towards Cuba, (2) foster "direct diplomacy without
preconditions with friends and foes alike," and (3) authorize
unlimited traveling and money remissions for Cuban-Americans. In a
small, separate note at the end, Granma mentions the possibility of an
Obama-Clinton ticket. The tone of the latter is neutral-to-positive,
if you ask me. The tone of Granma's notes is always deliberate. (In
Spanish.)
