Unfortunately, however, the center is holding very well. Don't mistake chaos, military losses, discontent, lots of wringing of intellectuals' hands, financial panic, etc for anything really amiss. If something were even remotely close to really remiss at the center Rockefellers et all would have better things to do than sdquabble over marginal policy at Exxon.
