Oh yeah, sorry, as for a "simple" way to change minds on the issue, although I doubt any simple solutions are possible, I'd say the best idea would be to play on apathy. Make it as clear as possible that Prop 8 won't effect their lives in any direct manner. I don't know if it would garner support, probably not, but it may calm down any inclinations toward protest...
