Of course, the only peace candidate in the Democratic field this year  was 
Dennis Kuchinich, and he flamed out early. If Obama goes into Afghanistan  after 
suspected terrorists he will merely be following the line that he  developed, 
quietly, in the campaign that he would give Pakistan a chance to get  them 
but if they didn't he would go after them with a military strike. This is  not a 
diplomatic attempt,and  what he also promised to do first, but it is  
consistent with positions enunciated in the campaign. This is no surprise to  writers 
on this list, but the left is rather weak in the country and mostly  ignored.
