I like a good hatchet job as much as the next guy, but the RS piece was a
bit off-base. Taking McCain to task for being overwhelmingly ambitious and
an ungodly prick?  Criticizing a Presidential candidate for that seems a tad
redundant.  Strange how McCain transferred from the Forrestal to the
Oriskany; The Toasted O had had its own shipboard fire a year before.
Payback's a bitch. Anyway, the video of the Forrestal disaster has been
making the rounds of the right-wing blogs for a while now; they use it as
evidence of McCain's herosim.  None of them mention how he bailed on his
shipmates after the blaze, which is just horsehit, but not inconsistent with
fighter jock mentality.  A bigger group of assholes would be hard to find.
