Last night I sent you a message about my Steal This Radio interview with Robert Lederman. In it, Robert issued a call for all artists and progressive people to defend the First Amendment and show up at the hearings at NY City Hall, to oppose the 16 bills being submitted by City Council member Alan Gerson.
The date for those hearings has been changed.
** The new date is THURSDAY, OCTOBER 30, at 10 a.m. at City Hall. Please come! **
And write to Robert Lederman for more details, copies of the proposed anti-artist and anti-vendor legislation, etc., at ArtistPres at gmail.com
The radio show will be aired on Friday, October 10th, at 11 a.m., and rebroadcast on Tuesday, October 14th at 8 pm. You can only hear this over your computer -- not on regular radio. Just go to the following URL: <http://www.NYTalkRadio.net> and click on "LIVE". After that it will be podcast 24/7 over the internet.
Robert Lederman asks all artists and supporters to come to NY City Hall on Thursday, October 30th, at 10 a.m., when Gerson (whose term expires in 2009) will introduce 16 anti-artist bills into the NY City Council. Please be prepared to testify against all of these bills. (Gerson is also in large part responsible for the bulldozing of Washington Square Park, against the wishes of the community.)
Again, please contact Robert Lederman at ArtistPres at gmail.com
Thank you!
