Not that this is really important for the point you're making but just 
so you know, Koala's don't just eat one type of plant.
That's a myth.
While Koala's certainly prefer eucalyptus leaves they will also eat 
acacia, melaleuca, tristania, banksia, and a few other genera of trees.
