-clip- The rich, in other words, get rich precisely through "income re-distribution". Its happening all around you every day. Income is re-distributed from those who work hard to the wealthy, otherwise there would be no wealthy. You can't want to get rich and be against income re-distribution at the same time.
So don't let anyone get away with telling you that you can get rich through your own hard work, its a fairy tale. You can only get rich by exploiting someone else's hard work. They won't like it, but the logic is implacable. A bit cruel I suppose, to shatter the illusion, like telling little kids there is no Santa Claus, but they'll find out eventually.

^^^^ CB: Of course , you are right , Bill. And , of course, we have been dealing for a while with mass national irrationality on this and related issues, created by mass brainwashing. The key has been racism since the rise of Reaganism. "Redistribution" is a code word for "taxing y'all to pay Black welfare queens." I kid you not.
But, as a couple of posts have indicated, maybe class self-interest will finally trump racism. We'll see.
I've been thinking along the same lines as you are. Right now, we can urge "Workers of America, just watch the television news, and you will see Wall Streeters making tens of millions of dollars _even as their companies fail_ ! Do you really think that they create that much more wealth than you do ? No. They got it by taking some of the wealth you
create. "
By the way, amazingly, even people like Gergen ( I forgot his first name) who was in the Nixon and Reagan administrations, on the news talk shows are saying things like , " over the last few decades there has been a massive redistribution of wealth to the wealthiest 2% from the rest. " It is really true that in the last few weeks the monopoly media, television and print, are full of news stories that could be in socialist newspapers without changes. They are putting out our propaganda ! Workers of the World , just watch tv.
