NAZRAN.  Oct  24  (Interfax)  -  The  number of attacks against law 
enforcement  officers  has  increased  this year, said Ingush Prosecutor
Yury Turygin.

"Over  the  first  nine months of 2008 the number of attacks on law
enforcement  officers  has  increased  by  a  third compared to the same
period in  2007.  A  total  of 52 officers were killed and over 150 were
wounded," Turygin told a press conference in Nazran on Friday.
