^^^^ CB: Hockey has institutionalized fighting like no other major sport ( except boxing; smile), legal body checking and sticks. Players don't even get game suspensions necessarily for fighting. Maybe just a penalty. At least in the pros. Most pro hockey players don't have their front teeth.
It _is_ sort of Canadian, although, Europeans are starting to take over in the US. The Detroit Red Wings just won the Stanley Cup with lots of Swedes. Last time the Red Wings won it was with key Russians.
