I suggest, 'Gov Palin'. Followed by a crisp description of what makes her 'that grotesque from Alaska' (to quote Tariq Ali).
If someone's truly awful, there's no need to get too clever with labels.
For example, it's sufficient to write, 'under the Taliban, Afghans were forced to obey increasingly absurd and draconian rules such as a prohibition of colorful clothes.' If, instead of that, which is basic and to the point, you wrote, 'under the Terribleban' or something similarly over-egged, the focus shifts away from your target's sinister qualities (the actual topic) to your fondness for insult comedy.
