it is interesting what the critic, jeff b, leaves out. here's the quote he provided:

He left out that bit where he compares people who callously disregard poverty, consumed by their own consumerism. Obviously, Taibbi has utterly no interest in writing what Jeff B wants him to write. Flat out: he compares the guy who can afford 4 plasma screen TVs with the Bushes and Roves of the world. (what the author fails to realize is how few people will actually see themselves in the description. duh.)
The question is, who gives a shit. If Taibbi wants to criticize Palin this way, appealing to the already converted, that's his schtick.
Why do hosers like Jeff B thinks it matters if Taibbi appeals to some other group, presumably the unconverted. Who cares if he is trying to persuade or not? So what if he provides red meat for the base. Is jeff b. embarassed or something?
not that i give a monkey's nuts about taibbi. he sends of one liners that make me laugh every so often but i don't think he's serving a great purpose and his blatant and striving desire to be the next HST is so obvious it's painful to watch. mostly, I'm embarrassed for Taibbi because he can't fathom being something besides an imitator.
