Sorry for being obtuse: my criticism is not of the administration; it is of Congress, Opinion Makers and the Media, who swallowed whole the "We have to do this quickly OR ELSE" claim the last time it came by. I'm encouraged by the level of discussion on this proposal to use the awesome might of the US Government against a perceived threat.
It still might not help, but it feels better.
