personally, I think you missed the money quote. but one thing i think is funny in all these venues. people can easily cc the author with their criticisms and get a direct response to their criticisms. most of these folks would appreciate the feedback. no doubt, people send letters to SciAm when this article originally came out. and yet, with the intertubes, interacting directly with the author is easier and faster than ever. still, hardly anyone ever bothers in these discussions . . . . hmmmmm. :)

this was the money quote:
