I suppose most people in the US don't know about Texas Relays either,
but your point is well taken. Some further context that might have
also been helpful: Emo's, one of the businesses closing, is a kinda
legendary punk-rock place, sort of Austin's CBGB's, while Flamingo
Cantina is primarily a reggae/Caribbean music joint.
