Excellent question. By "planetary consciousness" I mean the "noetic field" (called also "Weltgeist," "World Soul," "Buddha Nature") comprising as its nodal points the planet's whole biosphere (the ensemble of living cells and colonies of living cells). By "evolution" I refer to the ongoing process by which the Earth has been transformed from a mass of compressed plasma into the living organism of which we are part. As a set among the more complex consciousnesses on this planet our species is among the "growing points" of the Earth's planetary consciousness.
