[lbo-talk] nationalizing the banks

Pretty strong and provocative stuff: "What does it mean to nationalize the 
banks when almost no one really wants to?...Nationalizing the banks, and 
mounting the commanding heights, means attacking that class relation at its 
core. It would be insane, at our present level of political development, to 
talk in those terms. It seems more promising to me to talk about things that 
we can almost imagine doing, at our present level of political 
development...In other words, all I can do is stand here and call for what 
used to be known as 'creeping socialism'."
