just wanted to point out that the subject line refers to "mental illness" 
and not just depression. For example, the diagnosis of oppositional 
defiance disorder in children who throw temper tantrums or ADD, are 
diagnoses of mental illness. These are examples Petersen uses in her book, 
showing on the healthcare system -- influenced by the practices of 
pharmaceutical companies and insurance companies -- prefer to prescribe 
pills rather than talk therapy.
