[WS:] That would not be such a bad thing. It would discredit populist drive to ban rights of unpopular minorities and put some legal limits how far idiotic ballot initiatives can go.

While I do not believe in "the worse - the better" approach to mobilize the masses, I think that this approach has a chance of working to mobilize the elites to put some brakes on populist idiocy that may undermine the legitimacy of the status quo.
