Isn't Wills somewhat of a maverick among liberals? For instance, he doesn't buy the Kennedy myth.

[I don't get the charge of "betrayal," since O is doing just what he  
said he'd do, but still, this is encouraging. Wills is the fellow who  
first convinced me of the value of disillusionment with liberals in  
producing radicals. Yay.]
