Slumdwellers engage in various kinds of production and have also engaged in various kinds of mass
protests. So what I was thinking is that class-conscious labor organizations might make fruitful alliances. And highway blockades, sabotage of utilities, theft of services, do in their way interfere with profits. Though it is true that
you can't kill too many surplus-value producing workers, while as the Brazilian police have shown, you can kill tens of thousands of slumdwellers without much consequence.
