I would add another quotation from Marx to say for Marxists the crisis does
not surprise.."The life-process of society, which is based on the process of
material production, dos not strip of its mystical veil until it is treated
as production by freely associated men, and is consciously regulated by them
in accordance with a settled plan" Thus there is no mystery in the
developments inside capitalist system They are insincere in Davos when they
pretend they are overtaken by the unexpected. Solution is possible if they
are not doctrinaire about such issues as nationalisation, public control and
regulation.
All the talk of regulation now we are hearing and a planned approach to
economy, even if it is private enterprise is inevitable, if they have to
avoid crisis after crisis.
