Every aspect of Gazan society was hit, including money changers, ambulance stations, hospitals and schools. We saw a number of the 40+ schools that had been attacked by missiles, including two schools, one of them the American school, a private school, which had been razed to the ground. Over 50 UN installations were also hit, including two schools - children in one of them beheaded by the force of the blasts - and of course, the UNWRA compound warehouse which had contained a significant quantity of food and medical supplies for those injured in the attacks.

``Please forgive the roughness of this diatribe. It was written within a day of our return...'' Steve Kamlish.

Nevermind. Absolutely none of the above has been reported on in US mainstream media. And if even the slightest hint that the obvious was going on, the US media under its self-imposed fairness doctrine followed all such reports with Israeli or US apologistas, usually ending the report on whatever they said, so that the audience was left with the excuse or lie as the last word.

I was so fed up with any US source, I followed Ingaaza, Electronic Intifada, Aljazeera, or occasionally Juan Cole. Most of the above on the ground stories, were already covered in one or other of the above sources. You can use those reports to re-trace many, many other atrocities. The Palestinian paramedic personnel were under routine attack and have plenty to back up their stories. There is of course the Norwegian doctor in the main hospital in Gaza City. And there are no doubt plenty of medical files on phosphorous burns, so you have written records and not just eye witness testimony.

What is completely indisputable are the attacks on UN installations, including the use of white phosphorous on the UNWRA compound. The convenience of this particular war crime was that the attack on UNWRA compound was done on the day the UN Secretary General arrived in Tel Aviv.

And then there is the illegal blockaid of Gaza, particularly by sea.

IMO, the only reason Israel believes it can get away with these war crimes is because of US protection. So then as an adjunct to the evidence you gather, I would pay special attention to examination of shells, rockets, bombs, and other munition fragments and unexploded ordinance. Much of the material can be traced back to US manufacture. The importance is that using US munitions sold to Israel in offensive military action is a violation of their contractual agreements. The goal is to document systematic use.

It's obvious the F-16s, and Cobras are of US origin. What is less obvious are the maintanence and part supply contracts that keep them running. Track those down. Diagram out the supply chain back to US manufacturers. Don't forget on-going training programs to keep personnel current, and so forth. There are also the weapons and supply chains for the drones.

The goal is to directly implicate the US with Gaza. You can be certain that the US military was supplying satellite data, if not direct AWACs missions and may have turned over drone flight control systems including US military training personnel to the Israelis.

You will get some backing from a few members of the US House. Maybe Kucinich and others who have already made noises about military aid to Israel.

The ultimate goal is not a war crimes tribunal, although that would nice. The ultimate goal should be an international trade embargo of Israel for its war crimes, crimes against humanity, and as an apartheid regime, particular by the EU, which in turn lays the foundation for political awareness and pressure on the US.
