Hey, cheer up, this just further vindicates the Reed-Henwood hypothesis that Obama is committed to permanently transforming (to the extent that such transformations are ever long-lasting) the DP into a Fortune 500-liberal interest group big tent, leaving the Repubs with a diminishing base of (melanin-deprived) fundies and paleos. Of course in the context of a winner-take-all electoral system, Obama's swooning before big capital amidst a deep recession might only prompt instinctive populists to bail for the RP... which is kind of what Marv Gandall was suggesting before.
