Well, a year ago, when all the carnival barkers who show up on Sunday talk shows were pumping up the BRICs, we should have known the end was near.
The hypertrophic BRICs development of the last few years was more about the late stage decay of Wall Street-centered neo- liberal global capitalism than its supercession. And now, US dominance without anything coherent to replace is still just that, by default.
