I'm a bit pressed for time, but two points:
SEIU has zip to do with Governor Blag-o-Swag, who was no friend of labor and ran a neo-Clintonite austerity regime which pissed off everyone in Illinois.
SEIU is a huge, contradictory organization with many fine people, not all of who agree on any given issue or strategy. Criticism of specific campaigns or strategies is fine, but blaming everything on specific personalities isn't helpful.
