The controversy is pointless when Constitution says he is deemed President
at noon , even if he could not manage to take the  oath at the right time.
It was actually delayed by 6 minutes.  A president confirmed by people, then
by  the houses,and approved by Constitution can even be without  that
cursory oath..it is just that  people like ceremonies..entire show  beats
all the pomp and pageant of any Emperor ever  in History! And so much for
democracy..

probably the president was already  thinking about his speech/ probably he
was considering this Chief Justice  intently ( the judge's own confirmation
etc) so he could not concentrate on the text recited for him..probably the
Chief Justice delivered  too long a sentence at a time..
